Head of the Chinese Mission to the African Union Ambassador Jiang Feng Meets the Permanent Representative of Mauritius to the African Union

On August 5, Ambassador Jiang Feng, Head of the Chinese Mission to the African Union, met with Amb. Indrarjeet Bambooa, the Permanent Representative of Mauritius to the AU.

Amb. Jiang stated that China and Mauritius are strategic partners, firmly supporting each other on issues concerning core interests and major concerns of both sides, and maintaining close pragmatic cooperation in various fields. Amb. Jiang introduced the Global Governance Initiative, expressing China’s willingness to strengthen communication and coordination with Mauritius and the AU, practice true multilateralism and jointly establish a more just and equitable global governance system.

Amb. Bambooa highly praised the traditional friendly relations between Mauritius, Africa and China, and appreciated China for its long-term valuable support for African development. He expressed his willingness to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese Mission on important multilateral platforms such as the AU, jointly promote the in-depth development of bilateral relations and Africa-China relations, and create a prosperous and bright future.
